[Sports Today reporter Lim Si-ryeong] Comedian Jang Dong-min raised his voice against fake news on the new show Betting on Facts.
On the 26th, Wavve held an online press conference for its new original survival series Betting on Facts. Producer Kim Min-jong attended along with comedians Jang Dong-min and Lee Yong-jin, professor Jin Jung-kwon, broadcaster Jung Young-jin, singer-actor Ye-won, political YouTuber Hellmouse, former Democratic Party Supreme Council member Park Sung-min, and former People Power Party spokesperson Kang Jeon-ae.
Betting on Facts is a reality-news game show in which eight participants live in isolation and evaluate the accuracy of news items in an era flooded with misinformation.
At the event, Jang said, \”I expect the show will offer a mix of entertainment and surprises. You can look forward to it.\”
Earlier, on the 18th, Jang attended a capital markets meeting presided over by President Lee Jae-myung as a private investor and said, \”People like me often get swept up by fake news.\”
Reflecting on that moment, Jang added, \”If I raised this in front of the president, imagine how much fake news must have affected me while on Betting on Facts. The government should take action to stop fake news. If you watch Betting on Facts regularly, you’ll develop the judgment to distinguish truth from falsehood.\”
He emphasized that fake news must be eliminated and urged nationwide viewership.
Betting on Facts premieres at 11 a.m. on the 27th.
