On-site matching between local businesses and job seekers yields hiring results

On the 18th, Goseong County held its 2026 first-quarter “Employer–Job Seeker Meeting Day” at the Employment Welfare Center.
The event centered on in-person matching between local employers’ hiring needs and job seekers, designed to relieve staffing shortages and broaden employment opportunities for county residents.
Three local companies and roughly 30 job seekers participated, conducting on-site interviews and recruitment consultations focused primarily on positions in manufacturing, production, and social welfare.
On site, the County Job Support Center, together with the Employment Welfare Center and the New Start for Women Center, provided job counseling and comprehensive information on employment and unemployment, offering integrated employment support through interagency collaboration.
Bae Jin-yeol, the county’s job policy officer, said, “We will continue to connect local companies with job seekers through the Employer–Job Seeker Meeting Day,” adding, “We also plan to expand job linkages beyond neighboring cities and counties to reduce population outflow and to create stable employment conditions so that incoming residents can settle here.”
