[iNews24 Reporter Kim Sang-jin] On February 10, Jin-do County officials announced their commitment to fostering community spirit by distributing designated donations from local organizations and institutions. This initiative aims to ensure vulnerable groups in the area can enjoy a warm and vibrant Lunar New Year celebration.
The Lunar New Year sharing program is the result of voluntary participation from local organizations, institutions, and businesses. Donated items include essential groceries and daily necessities that provide tangible assistance to those in need.

Notable donations include 50 blankets from the ‘K-water Jin-do Waterworks Office,’ 318 boxes of fresh pork sets from the Jin-do branch of the Korean Pork Association, and 55 bags of rice (10-20 kg) from the Korea Electric Power Corporation’s community support project.
Approximately 20 organizations and institutions contributed a variety of food and goods. These items were swiftly distributed through town and village offices to low-income households and elderly individuals living alone, bringing warmth to the community.
County officials are working closely with local offices to carefully identify those most in need of support. They are ensuring that the donors’ intentions are carried out in a transparent and equitable manner.
Mayor Kim Hee-soo stated, “We will continue to promote a culture of sharing between public and private sectors to create a warm, inclusive community where everyone feels connected.”
