The Pyeongtaek Office of Education in Gyeonggi Province has launched a comprehensive on-site health and safety education program to prevent workplace accidents and safeguard worker well-being.
From February 3 to 11, the office conducted safety and health capacity-building training for frontline workers across various sectors. The initiative aimed to enhance awareness of industrial accident prevention and promote a culture of safety.
The training program covered practical, immediately applicable topics such as musculoskeletal disorder prevention, job stress management, labor rights education, workplace accident prevention, risk assessment techniques, and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) training.
To ensure both expertise and real-world relevance, the program partnered with key organizations including the Southern Gyeonggi Worker Health Center, the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, professional counseling services, and labor unions.
The training was organized into four sessions: February 3, 6, 10, and 11. Each session provided systematic instruction on accident prevention, health management, and psychological resilience.
Participants received comprehensive safety training addressing both physical safety and mental health concerns.
Education Director Kim Yoon-ki emphasized, “The safety and health of our frontline workers are fundamental to our educational mission. This year, we’ve expanded our program to include job stress prevention, creating a holistic approach that protects both body and mind.”
He added, “We are committed to continuing safety and health education that responds to the needs of our workforce, ultimately enhancing job satisfaction and overall well-being.”
This training initiative is a cornerstone of the Pyeongtaek Office of Education’s field-oriented safety management policy. It is expected to significantly boost employee competencies and foster a robust safety culture throughout the organization.
