2026 Local Election: Key Candidates for Gyeonggi Province’s Democratic Party Revealed!

Ahead of the June 3 local elections, the Gyeonggi Provincial Election Committee of the Democratic Party announced the results of its 16th primary to select proportional-representation candidates for local council seats.

On May 3, the Gyeonggi branch of the Democratic Party said it finalized the rankings of proportional-representation candidates for municipal councils in key cities across the province, including Suwon, Seongnam and Pyeongtaek.

Below are the Democratic Party’s primary results for proportional-representation local council candidates.
