President Lee Jae-myung and First Lady Kim Hye-kyung, having completed a three-day, two-night state visit to India, are disembarking South Korea’s presidential aircraft upon arrival in Vietnam, the delegation’s second stop. Senior Vietnamese officials received President Lee at the airport with full state honors. The visit is the first state-level event hosted by Vietnam’s newly inaugurated leadership, which took office earlier this month. It also represents a reciprocal visit, occurring eight months after Party Secretary To Lam’s trip to South Korea in August of last year.President Lee will formally begin his schedule tomorrow with a luncheon and discussion with members of the Korean community in Vietnam. He is then scheduled to hold a summit with Party Secretary To Lam, participate in an MOU exchange, conduct a joint press briefing, and attend a state banquet. A Korea–Vietnam business forum, bringing together prominent figures from both countries’ business sectors, is also planned during the visit.On the final day, President Lee and Party Secretary To Lam plan to visit the Thang Long Imperial Citadel for a cultural tour.
