MBC’s “Questions from Son Seok-hee” is set to return for its fourth season. The premiere will air on February 18 (Wednesday) at 8:10 PM, concluding the Lunar New Year holiday, with subsequent episodes moving to 9 PM. The inaugural episode will feature author Yoo Si-min, attorney Geum Tae-seop, and media scholar Jeong Jun-hee.

The quartet will delve into the “insurrection trial and the trajectory of national politics.” Notably, the day after the broadcast, February 19, marks the first-instance court ruling in the Yoon Suk Yeol insurrection trial, overseen by Judge Ji Gwi-yeon. The judiciary has been embroiled in controversy, particularly following not-guilty verdicts on key charges involving Kim Keon Hee and Myung Tae-kyun. The political arena is equally tumultuous.
The Democratic Party of Korea is grappling with internal divisions over a potential merger with the Justice Party, while the People Power Party is reeling from the expulsion of former leader Han Dong-hoon. These developments underscore the timely selection of Yoo, Geum, and Jeong as the season’s inaugural guests.
“Questions from Son Seok-hee” has consistently featured high-profile individuals who are typically elusive interviewees, generating significant public interest. This season promises an equally diverse lineup. Guests include the notable figures from “Black and White Chef” Season 2: champion Choi Gang-rok, Chef Huh Deok-juk, and Monk Seon-jae. Choi’s appearance marks his first broadcast interview since his victory. The legendary esports icon Faker (Lee Sang-hyeok) is slated for a rare television appearance, joining Go prodigy Lee Se-dol to discuss the AI era. The show will also feature an uncommon joint appearance by K-pop veterans Yoon Jong-shin and Sung Si-kyung, as well as an eagerly anticipated conversation between emerging literary star Kim Ae-ran and Son Seok-hee. Speculation abounds regarding additional, yet-to-be-announced guests.

Each season of “Questions” adopts a thematic focus, with this iteration centering on “Let’s Return to Principles.” Previous seasons addressed societal concerns, offering solace with themes like “Life Goes On” during the impeachment crisis, and “Closure and New Beginnings” following the presidential election. The production team explained, “As our society gradually normalizes, we’ve chosen to explore the deceptively simple yet profoundly challenging concept of ‘principles.’ True to Son Seok-hee’s style, the theme will be woven naturally into conversations rather than overtly emphasized.”
The live premiere of MBC’s “Questions from Son Seok-hee” Season 4, featuring Yoo Si-min, Geum Tae-seop, and Jeong Jun-hee, is scheduled for February 18 (Wednesday) at 8:10 PM.
