[The Fact | Reporter Song Ho-young] Lee Won-mo, former secretary for public service discipline at the presidential office, attended a court hearing on February 10 at the Seoul Central District Court. Lee faces charges of interfering in the appointment of Constitutional Court justices.

The 33rd Criminal Division of the Seoul Central District Court, presided over by Judge Lee Jin-kwan, conducted hearings for several high-profile figures. These included former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, Choi Sang Mok, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, former Presidential Chief of Staff Jeong Jin-seok, former Senior Secretary for Civil Affairs Kim Joo-hyun, and Lee Won-mo.

The defendants are accused of abuse of power and dereliction of duty. They allegedly exercised their right to recommend Constitutional Court justices without proper vetting, following the impeachment of former President Yoon Suk Yeol last year, which had left the positions vacant.

Lee arrived at the courthouse around 1:30 PM, maintaining a stern expression as he proceeded directly to the courtroom without making any statements.
