[Gunpo, South Korea] – On February 6, Gunpo Mayor Eun-ho Ha met with Young-seok Song, head of the Uiwang-Gwacheon project division of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), at Gunpo City Hall to discuss major issues, including the Daeyami district development.
During the meeting, Mayor Ha emphasized the need for downstream maintenance in connection with the upstream rehabilitation of the Angol Stream within the Daeyami district. He also requested LH address the inconvenience and safety concerns caused by road damage during project implementation by maintaining the lakeside road.
Anticipating increased traffic due to the new public housing in the Daeyami district, Mayor Ha urged swift development of infrastructure projects. These include constructing a connecting road between the Daeyami and Songjeong districts and expanding the road under Daeyami Station. He also highlighted the lack of sports facilities within the project area and proposed creating such amenities for residents’ convenience.
Mayor Ha stressed, “We must ensure that these key issues are addressed to prevent any inconvenience to our citizens.”
In response, Mr. Song stated, “We will thoroughly review the current issues in the Daeyami district and strive to resolve them and complete the projects on schedule through mutual cooperation and close collaboration between LH and Gunpo City.”
