Former Jinju Deputy Mayor Cha Seok-ho Announces Candidacy for Haman County Mayor: What’s His Vision for Local Governance?

Former Jinju Deputy Mayor Cha Seok-ho (57) has officially declared his candidacy for the Ham-an County Mayor election as a member of the People Power Party in the upcoming nationwide local elections on June 3.
During a press conference held on the 10th at the Ham-an County Office’s small conference room, Cha emphasized, “This election is not a competition for a position; it’s a pivotal choice to set the right direction for Ham-an.”
He stressed, “Administration is judged by results, not words,” and pledged to build trust among residents through tangible outcomes.
Cha also unveiled his campaign promises in seven key areas, including administration, economy, and agriculture.
A native of Ham-an in South Gyeongsang Province, Cha began his public service career in 1992 as a level 7 civil servant. His extensive experience includes roles such as Deputy Mayor of Hamyang, Head of the Administrative Development Headquarters at the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority, and Deputy Mayor of Jinju.
