[The Fact | Reporter Song Ho-Young] Former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Choi Sang Mok attended a court hearing at the Seoul Central District Court on February 10, facing charges of failing to appoint constitutional judges and making hasty nominations.

The 33rd Criminal Division of the Seoul Central District Court, presided over by Judge Lee Jin-Kwan, held a hearing that afternoon for former Prime Minister Han Duck-Soo, Choi Sang Mok, former Presidential Chief of Staff Chung Jin-Seok, former Presidential Secretary for Civil Affairs Kim Joo-Hyun, and former Secretary for Public Service Discipline Lee Won-Mo.

They are accused of abuse of power and dereliction of duty for exercising the right to recommend constitutional judges without proper vetting, following the vacancy left after the impeachment of former President Yoon Suk Yeol last year.

At approximately 1:40 PM, Choi arrived at the courthouse with a grim expression as he made his way to the courtroom.
