By Park Seo-hyun, Herald Muse BTS’s Arirang remained in the top three of the U.S. Billboard 200 for a fourth consecutive week.
On the 20th, Billboard announced on its official website that BTS’s fifth studio album, Arirang, landed at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 for the week of April 25. The album debuted at No. 1 on the April 4 chart after its release on the 20th of last month and held the top spot for three straight weeks.
Billboard reported that Arirang logged 78,000 album-equivalent units on this week’s chart. That total combines pure album sales with SEA units (streaming-equivalent albums) and TEA units (track-equivalent albums).
Arirang represents BTS’s best fourth-week showing on the Billboard 200; their previous fourth-week high was No. 8 in 2019 with the EP MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA. The album has solidified its place as the group’s biggest commercial success on the global charts.
The BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ spans 85 shows across 34 cities — the most dates for any single tour by a Korean artist. The tour has set records and produced memorable moments in each city, building excitement for the remaining performances.
Meanwhile, the album’s title track, “SWIM,” has earned BTS 14 music-show wins in South Korea.
