[Sports Seoul | Reporter Ham Sang-beom] Xikers has intensified anticipation for its comeback with a string of distinctive teaser videos.
On May 14, KQ Entertainment said the group released a sequence of behind-the-scenes clips on its official social channels from May 11–13, documenting the making of its seventh mini-album, ROUTE ZERO: The ORA.
The series unfolds across three episodes: Beat Cooking, which details the beat-making process; Spirit Mic, which captures studio recording sessions; and Ghost Moves, which traces the choreography’s development. Mixing interviews with candid footage, the videos give a vivid sense of the members’ intense work as they finalize the new songs.
The team notably used stop-motion techniques to create a cohesive, craft-like aesthetic. Critics have praised the clips for playfully visualizing the members’ musical concerns and performance-driven passion, boosting excitement for the album.
The five-track mini-album stakes Xikers’ claim to a distinct identity with untamed, raw energy. Lead single OKay delivers a defiant message that rejects society’s imposed rules. The record also highlights the group’s broadened musical range with tracks such as Ghost Rider, Graffiti, Trophy, and Outsider.
The members’ artistic contributions stand out as well: Minjae, Sumin, and Yechan each participated in writing the lyrics for every track, imprinting the album with their personal sensibilities and candid messages.
Xikers will officially release ROUTE ZERO: The ORA at 6:00 p.m. on May 19 across streaming platforms. That evening at 8:00 p.m., they will hold a comeback showcase at the NOL Theater in the Dongyang Life Hall, Hapjeong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, and then begin full promotional activities. intellybeast@sportsseoul.com
