By Kim Won-gyeom, SPOTV News — BabyMonster confirmed the intensity of global fan interest after their new single “CHOOM” topped YouTube’s global charts.
According to YouTube’s latest chart released on May 6 (reflecting data through May 4, 2026), the music video for the title track from BabyMonster’s third mini-album, “CHOOM,” ranked No. 1 on YouTube’s global daily trending music videos chart. The single also placed No. 7 in the U.K. and No. 9 in the U.S., evidence of steady momentum across major markets.
The “CHOOM” video raced to No. 1 on YouTube’s worldwide trending list and was the most-watched video within 24 hours, an early sign of broad international interest. It surpassed 15 million views within half a day and has climbed to more than 25 million views. The video also rose to No. 1 on China’s QQ Music video chart.
The performance video released May 6 drew similarly strong reactions and is expected to bolster the single’s popularity. Reviewers highlighted the members’ commanding stage presence — their blunt swagger, provocative facial expressions and precise control of tempo that mirrors the song’s sonic shifts.
BabyMonster released their third mini-album, “CHOOM,” on May 4. The four-track project includes the addictive, hip-hop–based title track “CHOOM”; the dreamy, offbeat “Moon”; the breezy dance number “I Like It”; and the R&B-pop tune “Locked In.” The album reached No. 1 on iTunes album charts in 19 regions and topped the worldwide album chart, sustaining the group’s strong run.
Following the album’s release, BabyMonster will embark on their second world tour, spanning five continents: Asia, Oceania, Europe, North America and South America. The tour opens with three shows in Seoul from June 26–28, followed by six stops in Japan — Kobe, Fukuoka, Yokohama, Chiba, Nagoya and Osaka.
