The Black Label posted the main photo for Taeyang’s fourth studio album, QUINTESSENCE, on its official social channels on May 4.
With a bold hairstyle and a piercing stare, Taeyang channels the new music’s tone through sheer presence. His charisma hits immediately; the single image projects an aura that lingers with viewers.
Earlier, he released a trailer for the album, which is due May 18. The preview hinted that the record will probe themes of collision and rebirth, change and flow, while centering on Taeyang’s core artistic identity—his quintessence—leaving global K-pop fans eager to hear the music.
QUINTESSENCE is Taeyang’s first full-length album in about nine years since WHITE NIGHT in August 2017, and it’s expected to reaffirm his strength as a versatile solo artist.
Last month, on April 12 and 19, Taeyang joined his BigBang bandmates to headline the U.S. music festival Coachella, igniting international audiences.
This album signals a dazzling solo return for Taeyang.
