Composer Lee Jun-young, known professionally as LeeZu, has died.
On May 4, composer Wang Jeong-hyun posted on social media that “my friend and the DJMAX composer we all love, LeeZu, has embarked on a long journey alone.” He urged fans to remember LeeZu’s many compositions and to pay tribute so he would not walk that final road in solitude.
Born in 1984, Lee Jun-young contributed numerous tracks to the DJMAX rhythm-game series and also worked on music for titles including ELOA and Crystal Hearts.
On April 25, he uploaded a song titled “Goodbye” to his YouTube channel Bangrang Baeksu. In the video’s description he wrote, “Thank you to everyone. I’m sorry.”
