BewhY announced he will wind down Dejavu Group, the record label he founded.
On the 1st, he posted on his account reflecting on his music and label work, saying he spent the past decade driven entirely by his conviction in music.
He wrote that for a long time he believed he was always making the right choices, but life unfolded differently. His business, his relationships and even his principles did not follow the plans he had set.
He said it took him time to acknowledge his mistakes and faults, and that he had been afraid to confront the consequences of his decisions.
“I failed,” he admitted, announcing his decision to close out all activities of Dejavu Group, which he founded in 2017. He emphasized that he alone will accept full responsibility for that choice.
He thanked every artist who worked with him and expressed both gratitude and regret to the fans and industry figures who supported the label.
BewhY debuted in 2014 with the single “Waltz,” rose to prominence on Mnet’s Show Me the Money 5 in 2016, and operated Dejavu Group starting in 2017. In February of last year, he became a father of two.
