Simultaneous high ranks on Spotify, the Official Charts and Oricon
No broadcast appearances yet five domestic music show wins · 15 career wins
BTS has commanded the global music market for five weeks with Arirang, their fifth studio album. The record has shown balanced strength across streaming, downloads and physical sales, and industry observers say it has moved the group from a single hit to sustained commercial momentum.
On April 25, Spotify’s weekly chart (tracking April 17–23) showed Arirang holding the No. 1 spot on the Weekly Top Albums Global chart for a fifth straight week. Lead single “SWIM” reached No. 3 on the Weekly Top Songs Global chart, and all 14 tracks from the album have remained on that chart for five weeks. “SWIM” also ranked No. 2 on the Daily Top Songs Global chart for April 23, marking its 35th consecutive day near the top — a sign of steady streaming volume.
Their showing on the U.K. Official Charts (April 24–30) was equally solid. On April 25, Arirang landed at No. 13 on the Official Albums Top 100, extending its run in the upper ranks to five weeks. “SWIM” placed No. 34 on the Official Singles Top 100 and No. 5 on the Official Singles Downloads chart, marking five consecutive weeks in the top five for downloads.
The album also appeared across subcharts: No. 16 on Official Album Streaming, No. 19 on Official Album Sales, No. 20 on Official Physical Albums, No. 24 on Official Singles Sales and No. 47 on Official Album Downloads.
Momentum in Japan has not waned. After topping Oricon’s March monthly album ranking, Arirang held No. 3 on the Weekly Combined Album Ranking (April 27), its fifth straight week in the top three. It also remained at No. 3 on the Weekly Digital Album chart, reflecting balanced performance in both digital and physical formats.
BTS has posted strong domestic results as well. Without traditional broadcast promotions, the group secured first place across five major music shows: SBS’s Inkigayo, MBC’s Show! Music Core, KBS2’s Music Bank, Mnet’s M Countdown and MBC M’s Show! Champion. Album track “2.0” also took No. 1 on SBS’s Inkigayo, bringing Arirang’s total career wins to 15.
The group released Arirang on March 20 and has been meeting fans worldwide on the BTS World Tour “ARIRANG,” visiting 34 cities. They confirmed their ticket-selling power by selling out all 46 performances, including audiences totaling more than 240,000 in Goyang and Tokyo alone. The tour continues at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on April 25, 26 and 28.
