Flutist Han Ji-hee, the wife of Shinsegae Group chairman Jung Yong-jin, will perform alongside internationally acclaimed pianist Lang Lang.
SM Classics said on the 20th that Han will present a concert to mark the release of her debut album at Lotte Concert Hall on the 29th.
On the 24th, Han released her first album, Karl Reinecke: Works for Flute, through Universal Music. The recording features the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under conductor Vasily Petrenko.

For this concert, she will appear with the SM Town Orchestra under the baton of Kim Sun-wook, the former principal conductor of the Gyeonggi Philharmonic.
The SM Town Orchestra is the project orchestra of SM Classics. The program will center on Reinecke’s flute concerto, which is featured on the album.
Han will also share the stage with Lang Lang. The pair recorded “Undine” for flute and piano together for the album.
In a previous interview, Han said, “I felt very comfortable working with Lang Lang throughout rehearsals and the recording. It felt like a dream come true.”
Lang Lang, who recorded with Han in Paris, said he wanted to interpret the relationship in “Undine” from a female perspective, shaping the phrasing in a more feminine way to convey shy, fragile emotions. Han, he added, poured her whole heart into this challenging repertoire.
Han is an artist on SM Entertainment’s classical and jazz label, SM Classics. She studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and at Oberlin Conservatory, and earned a doctoral degree from Seoul National University’s graduate school. She currently performs actively as a member of the chamber ensemble PACE and as a soloist.
