[Sports Today reporter Jeong Ye-won] KISS OF LIFE demonstrated why they’re emerging as the next-generation performance queens.
The group appeared on the broadcast on the 11th of KBS2’s Immortal Songs for an episode honoring composer Yoon Il-sang. Julie — making her first appearance on the show 3 years after the group’s debut — said, “Natti and I were trainees for a long time, so this was a dream program for us. I used to watch it at home with my parents, so getting to perform here and greet them now is really moving.”
Even before they hit the stage, established contestants such as Tours and Yudai Takenaka singled KISS OF LIFE out as the act to watch, and the group surprised viewers by selecting Kim Yeon-ja’s mega-hit “Amor Fati.”
The members said they devoted as much attention to this performance as they did to preparing their new single “Who Is She.” They led every aspect of the production — from arrangement choices and stage direction to original choreography — stamping the rendition with their own identity.
Embracing a karaoke-party concept, KISS OF LIFE combined strong vocals, Julie’s original rap, and a flashy dance break to turn the studio into a celebration. They preserved the original’s buoyant energy while injecting contemporary flair, earning enthusiastic applause from both the audience and fellow performers.
Original composer Yoon Il-sang expressed his affection for the group, calling KISS OF LIFE “my favorite girl group” and admitting he’s such a fan he’d even want to write them a song. He lauded the performance as if it had breathed new life into “Amor Fati” for 2026.
