[Sports Today reporter Jeong Ye-won] The familiar trio SeeYa made a guest appearance on JTBC’s Newsroom.

On the April 12 broadcast of JTBC’s Newsroom, SeeYa appeared together, announcing a full-group comeback after 15 years and sitting down with anchor Ahn Na-kyung.

When Ahn asked how their appearance on Sugar Man six years earlier felt, Lee Bo-ram admitted she was so nervous she \”couldn’t think of anything.\”

Nam Gyu-ri explained the origin of their company: after Sugar Man, they wanted to take greater control of their careers, so they formed a corporation to manage their activities directly and founded SeeYa Entertainment.

She added that all three members are shareholders and executives. \”I unintentionally became the CEO,\” Nam said with a laugh, introducing Lee as their managing director and Kim as executive director. \”We don’t have any employees; we handle everything ourselves. Resources are limited, but we’re collecting our ideas and tackling things one step at a time.\”

They also discussed their pre-release single \”Still, We.\” Nam described it as not about a flower that briefly bloomed in youth, but a tree that endures the seasons. \”As children, we were like flowers—wide open, beautiful, fragrant—but this song reflects 20 years of growth: taking root and bearing fruit. It’s a piece that condenses two decades into one song,\” she said.

They teased next month’s album, with Nam hinting they’ve prepared a side of themselves that might make listeners ask, \”Is that really SeeYa?\” When Ahn asked whether they’d be dancing, Lee quipped, \”If the CEO tells me to, I’ll dance,\” and Nam laughed, \”I’ll think about it.\”

Lee also observed that music trends move quickly. \”If you compare music to food, there are fleeting trends—something like a trendy Dubai chewy cookie—but SeeYa’s music is more like homemade comfort food,\” she said.

On future plans, Kim Yeon-ji said she’s never done a nationwide tour and would like to try one. Nam added she’d love the chance to introduce international fans to a three-member Korean female ballad group and hoped they could create moments to connect with overseas audiences.

Ahn closed the interview with a send-off, wishing they keep singing into their 30th, 40th and 50th anniversaries.
