[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] NCT WISH delivers a flutter of emotion with their first full-length album, ‘Ode to Love’.
On the 10th, agency SM Entertainment introduced NCT WISH’s debut studio album ‘Ode to Love’ in an official press release.
‘Ode to Love’ comprises 10 tracks, led by its tender title song of the same name. The record highlights NCT WISH’s wide musical range across a variety of styles.
First, Sunshower (Crush) is a dance-pop track that layers punchy drums and 808 bass over an emotive piano motif. The lyrics liken the surprise and excitement of falling in love unexpectedly to a sunshower on a clear day.
Additionally, Don’t Say You Love Me is an R&B-pop tune driven by a simple, addictive melody and a groovy beat. It captures the moment a boy who’s awkward in love decides to be the first to share his feelings; a catchy hook amplifies the tension and flutter right before the confession.
Another cut, Voyage, is a pop ballad rooted in modern rock, blending lyrical acoustic guitar and piano. Its lyrics offer fans a message of hope and resolve: no matter what storms lie ahead on the vast sea, standing together will keep them steady as they chase their dreams.
Meanwhile, NCT WISH’s first full-length album ‘Ode to Love’ will also be released physically on the 20th. It is currently available for pre-order at various online and brick-and-mortar retailers.
