[Sports Seoul | Reporter Park Kyung-ho] NCT member Jeno addressed his feelings after Mark announced his departure.
On the 3rd, Jeno posted on the fan-communication platform Weverse, opening with an apology: “First and foremost, I’m sorry to Sizn, who must be very unsettled.”
He acknowledged the group’s uncertainty, writing, “This is something we’ve never experienced before, and we struggled with how to handle it. We thought about many things and had many conversations. I deeply regret and feel sorry that we ultimately couldn’t resolve this situation well.”
Jeno went on to express gratitude for the support the group received as a seven-member unit. “As seven-member Dream, we did many activities and received so much love from Sizn. I’m very grateful and will continue to be. Because of you, Dream could always be Dream,” he said.
Comforting fans, he added, “What I most want to tell Sizn is that, of course, we’re sad now. But this is still our story, and we hope you’ll watch the new form Dream takes as we move forward. Let’s be sad for a little while, and then make happy memories again.”
Meanwhile, Mark announced his withdrawal from NCT and the termination of his contract with SM Entertainment that day. His departure leaves NCT DREAM as a six-member group: Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung. park5544@sportsseoul.com
