[Sports Today reporter Lim Si-ryeong] Stray Kids hit a major streaming milestone when the music video for \”Chk Chk Boom\” surpassed 200 million YouTube views on the morning of March 31, becoming the group’s eighth video to reach that mark.
\”Chk Chk Boom,\” the title track from the mini album ATE, released July 19, 2024, crossed the 200 million-view threshold that morning.
The group now counts eight videos with more than 200 million views: God’s Menu, Back Door, Sori-kkun, MANIAC, Teuk, Rak (樂), CASE 143 and Chk Chk Boom.
Written and produced by 3RACHA—Bang Chan, Changbin and Han—\”Chk Chk Boom\” channels the confidence of zeroing in on a clear objective. The track layers a Latin-tinged hip-hop rhythm with an addictive loop and a distinctive topline and lyrics interpreted in Stray Kids’ signature style. The music video amplifies the song with striking visuals and powerhouse choreography, and it gains extra buzz courtesy of cameo appearances by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
To mark their eighth anniversary on March 25, Stray Kids released a new song for their fandom, STAY, titled \”Star, Light (STAY).\” Members Han and Seungmin co-wrote and co-composed the track, which compares the hope for tomorrow—made possible by being together—to the universe and the stars. Lines such as \”If we look at the same place, we’ll shine like starlight from somewhere\” and \”Will you stay by my side? Then I’ll become the universe that surrounds you\” convey the sincere affection Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N feel for STAY, delivering a quietly moving moment.
On March 28 and 29, the group kicked off their sixth official fan meeting, Stray Kids 6TH FANMEETING: STAY in Our Little House, at Incheon Inspire Arena. The event continues for a total of four shows, with additional dates on April 4 and 5.
