Culinary maestro Baek Jong-won makes a triumphant return to Lyon, France, in the latest installment of ‘Baek’s Kitchen 3’.

The tvN program, which aired on the afternoon of the 10th, captured Baek’s arrival in the gastronomic capital of France.
In this new season, Baek takes on the formidable challenge of establishing himself in Lyon, widely regarded as the world’s culinary epicenter. Uncharacteristically, Baek showed a moment of vulnerability, confessing, “Lyon, huh? Can you see me sweating? I’m really out of my comfort zone here.”
The show’s producers revealed an ambitious goal for ‘Baek’s Kitchen 3’: to create a restaurant generating annual revenue of 1 billion KRW (750,000 USD) on Lyon’s most prestigious foodie street. Baek’s reaction was one of shock: “300 million KRW (225,000 USD) daily? That’s insane! Even in Korea, that would be considered a runaway success.”
Undeterred, Baek set out to dissect the flavors of Lyon’s culinary scene, a crucial step in attracting discerning French diners and meeting the staggering 1 billion KRW (750,000 USD) annual revenue benchmark required to survive in this competitive market.
‘Baek’s Kitchen 3’, airing every Tuesday at 10:10 PM on tvN, chronicles the celebrity chef’s audacious journey from Korean cuisine novice to potential culinary powerhouse in one of the world’s most demanding food scenes.
