“Finding an artist who can deliver both 2AM’s soulful ballads and Rain’s electrifying performances is no easy feat, but we’ve found one,” J.Y. Park announced as he introduced I.N to thunderous applause. The young star then joined J.Y. Park for a mesmerizing duet of 2AM’s “This Song” and Rain’s “Switch to Me,” showcasing his velvety vocals and impressive New Jack Swing-inspired dance moves.
Visibly moved by the experience, I.N shared, “I’ve been a fan of 2AM and 2PM since I was a kid, and ‘This Song’ has always held a special place in my heart. Performing it with J.Y. Park is surreal and incredibly humbling.” The surprises didn’t end there – as the band struck up “Happy Birthday,” J.Y. Park presented I.N with a cake and gifts to celebrate his upcoming birthday on February 8. Beaming with joy, I.N expressed his heartfelt gratitude to both J.Y. Park and the audience.
Stray Kids have hit the ground running in 2024, making waves on Spotify. Their repackaged debut album “IN生” has surpassed 1.5 billion streams, while the title track “神메뉴” from their first studio album “GO生” has racked up over 500 million plays. These milestones cement their status as the first 4th generation K-pop boy group to achieve such feats. Adding to their success, their concert film “Stray Kids: The DOMINATE Experience,” which premiered on February 6, dominated the global box office. The movie grossed 19.1 million USD (approximately 25.47 billion KRW) across 61 regions worldwide during its opening weekend.
Capitalizing on this momentum, Stray Kids are set to headline The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York on June 6 and Rock in Rio in Brazil on September 11, further solidifying their international stardom. Closer to home, the group will host their sixth official fan meeting, “STAY in Our Little House,” at the Inspire Arena in Incheon. The event will span four shows on March 28, 29, and April 4, 5, giving their dedicated fanbase, known as STAY, multiple opportunities to connect with their idols.
