Singer Lee Young-ji has donated 100 million KRW (approximately 75,000 USD) to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation (KCLF), chaired by Shin Hee-young, through an interactive fan event held on February 3.
The donation initiative stemmed from Lee’s innovative idea to create engaging content that taps into the growing trend of interactive play and gaming culture, allowing her fans to participate and enjoy together.
The inaugural project, “Cops and Robbers,” was a massive hit, drawing applications from around 100,000 fans after recruitment via social media. The production process, which featured collaboration with production company Egg is Coming, added an extra layer of entertainment for viewers.

This latest contribution brings Lee Young-ji’s total donations for pediatric cancer patients to an impressive 140 million KRW (about 105,000 USD). In recognition of her generosity, Lee has been named a Noble Member of the KCLF Honors Club, the foundation’s prestigious high-donor circle.
The entire 100 million KRW (about 75,000 USD) donation will fund treatment costs and scholarships for children battling cancer. This follows a previous 40 million KRW (around 30,000 USD) raised through sales of limited-edition merchandise from the 2024 season of “We Have Nothing Prepared, But Season 3” and personal contributions.
The funds will provide 300 pediatric cancer patients with “Hope Boxes,” initial hospitalization support kits, and cover the expenses for a stem cell transplant for one child.
