Early this morning, around 8:30 a.m. on May 10, a KTX high-speed train traveling from Busan to Seoul suffered a mechanical failure and came to a stop between Daejeon Station and Daejeon Depot.
Korail, the national railway operator, took emergency measures, moved the disabled train to Daejeon Station and transferred 906 passengers onto replacement trains.
Passengers were held onboard for more than an hour, and six other scheduled services were delayed.
Korail is investigating the cause of the disruption.
