Incheon’s M6751 Bus Schedule Revamp: How Early Departures Boost Your Commute

광역급행 Morning commutes between Songdo and Seoul will get faster. Incheon City will adjust the first-departure times for express bus M6751 beginning next month on the 4th, moving Songdo-bound service 10 minutes earlier and Seoul-bound service 20 minutes earlier.

After the change, the first bus departing from Songdo’s e-Pyeonhansesang complex will leave at 5:30 a.m., and the first bus from Gongdeok Station will depart at 7:10 a.m. Those times are 10 minutes and 20 minutes earlier than before, respectively. The last run and the total number of trips (32) will remain unchanged.

Seoul residents who work in Songdo — including staff at the Overseas Koreans Agency — will benefit directly. Previously, taking the first bus from Gongdeok Station meant arriving in Songdo after 9 a.m. With this adjustment, commuters can arrive around 8:40 a.m., giving them more time for a 9 a.m. start.

Other M-buses that stop at Central Park Station (M6405 and M6450) begin service at 5 a.m.; only the M6751 started as late as 5:40 a.m., which prompted complaints. The city analyzed six months of usage patterns and revised the timetable.

The route serves heavy commuter demand to Yeouido. By moving the first northbound departure earlier, Seoul-bound workers now have more breathing room.

Next month, the city will also increase service on route M6462 (Yeongjong–Gangnam) from three buses to eight.

Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok said, “Improving buses to match commute times is a change citizens will notice right away,” and added, “We will continue to improve express bus services based on demand.”
