Gyeonggi Province said April 24 that it will begin a new late-night bus to Incheon International Airport via Paju and Goyang at 10 p.m. on April 30.
The route is intended to improve travel options for residents who use Incheon during overnight hours.
The service will start at Geumchon Station in Paju, stop at five locations in Paju and seven in Goyang, and continue to Incheon International Airport.
The bus will depart for the airport for its first trip at 10 p.m. on April 30 and will make two round trips each night.
Officials said the route responds to a rise in late-night flyers after Incheon International Airport expanded round-the-clock operations.
Ridership on the province’s existing late-night airport buses, which originate from eight cities, rose to about 113,000 in 2025, an increase of roughly 13 percent from about 100,000 in 2024.
Northern Gyeonggi areas such as Paju and Goyang have been underserved by late-night buses, forcing travelers with early-morning flights to rely on expensive taxis or arrive at the airport the night before and sleep there.
After negotiations with the airport corporation, Gyeonggi Province secured the new route to serve the region where public transit is limited.
If the route runs a deficit, the province and the airport corporation will share financial support equally, 50–50, ensuring stable and sustainable service.
The addition brings Gyeonggi’s late-night airport bus network to 10 routes, up from nine.
