Gyeonggi Province announced on April 24 that it will begin running a late-night bus route to Incheon International Airport via Paju and Goyang starting at 10 p.m. on April 30, aiming to make overnight travel to the airport easier for residents.
The service will originate at Geumchon Station in Paju, call at five stops in Paju and seven in Goyang, and continue to Incheon International Airport. The first departure is scheduled for 10 p.m. on April 30, and the route will operate two round trips during the late-night hours.
Existing routes — including No. 3200 (Wondang–Incheon Airport) and No. 7400 (Ilsan–Incheon Airport) — already serve the region. Officials said the new line should significantly improve connectivity as late-night flights have risen since Incheon expanded to 24-hour operations.
Ridership on late-night airport buses leaving eight cities across Gyeonggi Province climbed from about 100,000 in 2024 to roughly 113,000 in 2025, an increase of about 13%, reflecting steady growth in demand.
But northern Gyeonggi — including Paju and Goyang — has been underserved by overnight airport buses. Travelers with early-morning flights have often had to rely on costly taxis or arrive at the airport the night before and wait overnight.
The provincial government negotiated with the airport authority to establish this route for the transit-poor northern districts. If the line runs a deficit, the two agencies will split subsidies evenly, ensuring stable and sustainable operations.
The addition raises Gyeonggi Province’s late-night airport bus network from nine routes to ten.
