Early on April 23, a track problem at Oido Station on Line 4 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, disrupted train service.
Korail said the fault, reported at about 4:18 a.m., delayed nine trains that pass through the section by between 10 and 30 minutes.
Korail deployed an initial response team to carry out emergency repairs, and service was restored around 6:08 a.m., roughly two hours later.
A Korail official said trains were operating normally but cautioned that some delays could linger into the morning commute.
