Geely has officially launched the Starshine 8 Voyager series. The line offers four trims, with a local starting price of 31 million KRW (about $23,250).
With a limited‑time discount, the entry price falls to roughly 27 million KRW (about $20,250), a very aggressive level for a vehicle in this segment.
Geely is pushing the market with price competitiveness, and that is likely to intensify competition among electrified sedans in China.

The Starshine 8 uses a plug‑in HYBE hybrid system and is offered with two powertrains: EM‑i and EM‑P.
The base PHEV claims about 225 km (roughly 140 miles) of electric range and combined fuel consumption around 3.3 L/100 km (≈30 km/L), which translates to about 71 mpg (US).
The high‑performance variant produces 300 kW (400 hp), showing Geely’s effort to balance efficiency and performance.
Overall, the Starshine 8 pairs aggressive pricing with advanced tech and strong efficiency. If brought to the domestic market, it could be a compelling value alternative to the Hyundai Grandeur hybrid.
