Geely Automobile has officially launched the Starshine 8 Voyager series. The range comprises four trims, with local pricing starting at ₩31,000,000 (about $23,250).
With a limited-time discount, the entry price can fall to roughly ₩27,000,000 (about $20,250), an aggressively priced offer compared with typical mid-size sedans.
Geely is clearly targeting the market through price competitiveness, a move that is likely to sharpen competition among electrified sedans in China.

Geely has upgraded the model’s advanced driver-assistance suite and included LiDAR sensors in the hardware package.
The vehicle is equipped with 11 cameras in addition to radar and ultrasonic sensors, and it runs on an NVIDIA-based compute platform.
Those systems enable assisted driving in urban traffic and on highways, and they also provide parking assistance — boosting the car’s tech credentials.

The Starshine 8 uses a plug-in hybrid system and is offered with two powertrains: EM‑i and EM‑P.
The base model delivers up to 225 km (about 140 miles) of electric-only range. Fuel consumption is rated around 3.3 L/100 km (approximately 71 mpg US, or ~30 km per liter).
The high-performance variant produces 300 kW (about 400 hp), delivering both strong performance and efficiency.
Overall, the Starshine 8 combines competitive pricing, advanced tech, and efficient powertrains. If Geely expands the model to other markets, it could present a compelling value alternative to cars like the Hyundai Grandeur.
