Regional air mobility (RAM) operator SeomAir announced March 30 that it will begin service on the Gimpo–Sacheon route.

SeomAir will operate four round trips daily. Departures from Gimpo are scheduled for 7:20 a.m., 10:50 a.m., 2:20 p.m. and 5:50 p.m.; return flights from Sacheon are at 9:05 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 4:05 p.m. and 7:35 p.m. Flight time is about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
The launch ceremony at Sacheon Airport was attended by SeomAir CEO Choi Yong-deok and company staff, along with Gyeongnam Governor Park Wan-su, Sacheon Mayor Park Dong-sik and other local officials.
Governor Park said he hopes SeomAir and Gyeongnam province will grow together, noting the company’s name Seom conveys a sense of bringing things together. CEO Choi called Sacheon the heart of South Korea’s aerospace industry and said the four daily flights will provide essential regional air service for residents of Sacheon, Jinju and the greater Gyeongnam area.
SeomAir is developing trunk air routes to address recent connectivity issues between Incheon and regional airports. The carrier also plans to expand its route network to fill gaps in Korea’s air infrastructure and to lead efforts to revitalize regional airports as a frontrunner in regional air mobility.
