Workshop in Busan on the 'Future Mobility Collision Safety Infrastructure Advancement Project'Accelerating pedestrian collision-safety assessments with state-of-the-art test equipment and analysis systemsTailored commercialization support to accelerate companies' entry into overseas marketsAiming to boost global competitiveness by linking Ulsan and South Jeolla infrastructure

Ulsan Technopark and the Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATECH) are rolling out a regionally linked business support program aimed at securing comprehensive crash safety — a core requirement for future vehicle development.
On the 25th and 26th, the two organizations will host a workshop in Busan to review cooperation frameworks and align strategies for the Future Mobility Collision Safety Infrastructure Advancement Project. Key partner organizations are expected to attend and discuss next steps.
Ulsan Technopark is accelerating the deployment of cutting-edge test equipment and analysis systems for pedestrian collision-safety assessments to keep pace with evolving global crash regulations. At the workshop, participants will review infrastructure upgrades and explore linking research assets across the Yeongnam and Honam regions so small and mid-sized parts suppliers can access integrated, one-stop crash testing services.
The program will deliver tailored commercialization support for companies, including establishing crash-test equipment and analysis systems; supporting pedestrian protection and occupant-safety testing and evaluations; advising on patent strategies and commercialization plans to support overseas expansion; and producing marketing materials to enhance brand value. By providing access to large-scale crash testing and advanced data analysis, the initiative aims to help suppliers improve product reliability and enter international markets.
An Ulsan Technopark official said, \”By organically linking the infrastructure of Ulsan and South Jeolla, we will actively support companies with complex crash tests that are difficult to perform independently. Combined with KMCA’s business support, we aim to raise the global competitiveness of Korea’s auto parts industry to the next level.\”
