Bentley Motors announced on February 10 that it participated in the FAT Ice Race 2026 held in Zell am See, Austria, on January 31. The luxury automaker debuted the Bentayga X Concept and officially launched its brand partnership with FAT International, the event organizer.
The Bentayga X Concept is a concept model based on Bentley’s luxury SUV, the Bentayga Speed, with a focus on off-road performance. It features a 4.0L V8 twin-turbo engine producing 650 horsepower, paired with a permanent all-wheel-drive system and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The concept also includes air suspension and Bentley’s 48V electronic anti-roll control system, known as Bentley Dynamic Ride.
The exterior boasts 22-inch forged wheels by Brixton and off-road tires, with the vehicle’s width increased by 120mm on each side. The ride height is raised by 55mm, resulting in wheel arches that are 40mm wider than the standard model. These modifications allow for a wading depth of over 550mm and a ground clearance of 310mm. The roof features a cargo box and additional lighting, while the rear sports an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system. A front towing hook is also included. The total height, including the roof cargo box, measures 2490mm.

At the event, Bentley Motors also held the world premiere of the New Continental GT S. A total of seven Bentley vehicles were on display, including the specially modified super sports model “Mildred,” which was used for brand film shoots alongside the New Continental GTC S. Additionally, a Continental GT S with a special livery, a Bentayga Speed, and the Speed Six Continuation Series prototype (Car Zero) participated in ice track driving demonstrations.
The New Continental GT S features a high-performance hybrid powertrain delivering 680 horsepower and incorporates the Bentley Performance Active Chassis. During the event’s Skijöring program, automotive journalist and racing driver Chris Harris piloted the Bentayga Speed alongside freestyle skier Hedvig Wessel in an impressive driving demonstration.

For this event, Bentley Motors set up a dedicated lounge and invited over 250 customers. Attendees enjoyed a music program featuring a bespoke sound system and beverage service. They also received vinyl records of a soundtrack inspired by the event. Furthermore, Bentley unveiled a limited-edition jacket designed by their creative director, Mai Izukawa, in collaboration with FAT International. Only 125 pieces of this exclusive “Bentley x FAT International” jacket will be produced.
Bentley Motors plans to develop various automotive culture and brand-related programs through its partnership with FAT International. The company also announced its participation in an ice race in Big Sky, Montana, at the end of February, as well as events near the Großglockner High Alpine Road in Austria during the summer at the FAT Mankei facility.

Ben Whattam, Bentley’s Marketing Director, stated, “Our new partnership with FAT International is part of a strategy to redefine Bentley’s role in the modern automotive cultural landscape worldwide. The FAT Ice Race provides an excellent opportunity to showcase the broad potential of the Bentley brand, allowing us to introduce the Bentayga X Concept.”
He added, “Throughout this year, Bentley will showcase what it does best—providing unique automotive experiences for customers, partners, and fans through various activities around the globe.”
