Daegu University, led by President Park Soon-jin, recently held the “Mobility Innovation University (MII) 2026 Achievement Sharing Festa” at Sono Calm in Gyeongju from February 3 to 4.
The event, spearheaded by Daegu University’s RISE Project Group, was co-hosted with Daegu Catholic University and Yeungnam University as part of the broader Gyeongsangbuk-do RISE initiative.
The gathering brought together 148 students and officials from the Mobility Innovation programs of the three participating universities. Attendees shared insights and outcomes from their joint curriculum and extracurricular activities over the past year.
The agenda featured a diverse lineup, including presentations on curriculum achievements, a career seminar by content creator Heo Seong-beom, job-seeking workshops for recent graduates, and an exhibition showcasing outstanding student projects.
Daegu University students particularly stood out, excelling in both the presentation of best practices and the exhibition of their innovative work.
These students shared valuable experiences gained from their project lab activities and overseas field studies, highlighting visits to cutting-edge mobility and energy industry sites around the world.
Furthermore, they demonstrated their research prowess through participation in international conference poster presentations, underscoring the effectiveness of the consortium’s collaborative approach to education.
The event also fostered inter-university relationships, with students from all three institutions engaging in networking activities designed to break down institutional barriers and promote a sense of community.
Jo Sung-jun, director of the Daegu University MEGAversity Consortium Center, reflected on the event’s significance: “This festa exemplifies how regional universities can pool resources and collaborate to nurture local talent through innovative educational models.” He added, “We’re committed to further reducing inter-university barriers and strengthening our shared university system to offer students a wider array of educational opportunities.” /95518050@sedaily.com
