The Korea Automotive Mobility Industry Association has called for the rapid enactment of the ‘Korea-U.S. Strategic Investment Management Act.’ The group warns that delays could lead to the U.S. considering a 25% tariff hike on key imports, including vehicles.
The association cautions that tariff uncertainties could hamper investments and industry competitiveness. They stress the need for a stable trade environment as the sector transitions to future mobility technologies and attracts global investments.
The group has asked the government to act swiftly, aiming for bill passage in February and proactive measures to minimize trade risks.
BYD Korea announced a free inspection service campaign at its 17 nationwide service centers for the Lunar New Year. The eight-day initiative covers three days before and five days after the holiday.
Technicians will focus on key components for long-distance travel, including battery condition, undercarriage, brakes, and wear items. The 30-minute inspections also include complimentary interior deodorizing.
