BYD Korea announced on February 10 that it’s launching a Lunar New Year Free Inspection Campaign to ensure safe long-distance travel for its customers during the upcoming holiday. This initiative aims to provide comprehensive preventive maintenance and post-trip condition checks in response to the expected surge in vehicle use during the festive period.
The campaign will run for a total of eight days: three days before the holiday (February 11-13) and five days after (February 19-20, 23-25) at 17 BYD Auto service centers across the country.
The inspection will focus on critical safety components essential for long-distance driving. BYD Korea plans to conduct thorough assessments of the power battery condition, vehicle undercarriage, brake system, and wear on various consumables.
A BYD Korea spokesperson emphasized that this campaign reflects the company’s commitment to prioritizing customer safety. “During the Lunar New Year holiday, when long-distance travel is common, vehicle maintenance becomes crucial,” the spokesperson said. “We aim to provide our customers with peace of mind as they visit their hometowns. Moving forward, we plan to expand our service programs to address real-world driving conditions.”
To bolster its service capabilities in the domestic market, BYD Korea is rapidly expanding its network. Since the launch of its passenger vehicle brand in January, the number of service centers has grown from 11 to 17. The company aims to establish a total of 26 service locations nationwide by year-end, focusing on both quantitative expansion and qualitative improvement of service standards.
The inspection service is expected to take about 30 minutes and includes a complimentary interior deodorizing treatment to enhance the driving experience. The service centers operate Monday through Friday, with detailed location information and business hours available on BYD Korea’s official website.
