KG Mobility (formerly known as SsangYong Motor) announced on February 10 that it will offer a “2026 Lunar New Year Vehicle Inspection Service” to support safe travel during the upcoming holiday season.

The inspection service will be available from February 11 to 13 at 321 service centers nationwide, including the Gunpo Regional Service Center. All KG Mobility vehicle models are eligible, except for large commercial trucks.

The comprehensive inspection covers critical components for long-distance travel, including: battery, engine oil and fluid leak checks, coolant levels, lighting systems, climate control, brake and pad wear, tire condition and pressure, cooling system, and heater and filter inspections. As an added bonus, customers will receive a complimentary windshield washer fluid top-up after the inspection.

Electric vehicle owners will benefit from an additional “Special EV Safety Inspection Service.” This includes thorough checks of the battery, cabin heater coolant, and drive motor coolant to ensure optimal performance and safe driving.

To address potential breakdowns or accidents during the holiday period, KG Mobility will maintain a 24/7 emergency roadside assistance service. This ensures customers can quickly receive support from the nearest service center in case of any unforeseen issues.

A KG Mobility spokesperson emphasized the importance of winter driving safety, stating, “During winter, it’s crucial to drive slowly and maintain a safe following distance. The cold weather and potential for snow require extra attention to vehicle maintenance and inspections.” They added, “We encourage drivers to visit our service centers before their holiday trips to preemptively address any issues that may arise from temperature changes or icy road conditions, ensuring a safe journey to their hometowns.”

KG Mobility has a history of offering both regular seasonal inspections and special service campaigns, including flood-damaged vehicle assessments and electric vehicle safety checks. The company plans to expand these services to further enhance customer safety and satisfaction.
