Porsche has officially begun mass production of the Cayenne Electric, which was first unveiled globally in November 2025. Production takes place at the Bratislava factory in Slovakia, sharing the same production line with the existing internal combustion engine and hybrid Cayenne models.
With this model, Porsche has further solidified its mixed production system, manufacturing internal combustion, hybrid, and pure electric vehicles on a single line. This approach is praised for providing the flexibility to quickly adjust production ratios in response to regional demand changes.
Securing Technological Leadership with
In-House Developed Battery Modules

The Cayenne Electric’s core competitiveness lies in its battery technology. Porsche has developed all battery modules in-house for this model, producing them at the ‘Porsche Smart Battery Shop’ located near Bratislava in Horná Streda.
This facility is a next-generation battery production hub where all processes, from cell preparation to stacking, laser welding, foaming, cooling plate integration, and final inspection, are precisely managed. Notably, it applies the same quality control system used in finished vehicle production to the battery manufacturing stage.
113kWh High-Voltage Battery
Based on LG Energy Solution Cells

The Cayenne Electric is equipped with a high-voltage battery with a total capacity of 113kWh, utilizing large pouch cells supplied by LG Energy Solution. Porsche has established a system capable of assembling 132 modules per hour, with a daily production capacity of batteries for up to 32 vehicles.
This battery achieves a driving range of over 600km and supports 800V system-based ultra-fast charging up to 400kW. Notably, the world’s first dual-sided cooling structure applied to both upper and lower surfaces enables faster and more precise battery temperature control, simultaneously enhancing performance and durability.
