This May, hotels across South Korea are ramping up their event calendars, offering guests fresh reasons to book a luxe stay. From curated staycation packages to culinary showcases and hands-on pop-ups, these activations give travelers new choices—and a pretty delightful double whammy of rest and entertainment.

Golf fans can look forward to seeing global stars—Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson—and the Korea-led squad anchored by captain An Byeong-hun up close, all while enjoying a laid-back hotel escape.
Paradise Hotel Busan, the official hotel of the global tour LIV Golf Korea 2026, kicking off on the 28th in Gijang, Busan, will host a special booth in the Asiad Country Club fan village.
The booth lines up a reception and welcome desk, a Paradise promo zone, an activity zone and a photo area. Inside, visitors can sample the hotel’s wellness and art offerings and try a golf-inspired game. The activity zone is the headline attraction: the hotel will run a “Paradise On Shot” event based on golf games, with prizes including overnight stays at Paradise Hotel Busan and discounts on hotel facilities.
Paradise Hotel Busan’s fan village booth runs from the 28th through the 31st and is open to any spectator at LIV Golf Korea 2026. To celebrate the tournament, the hotel is also offering a golf-and-relaxation package called “STAY IN PARADISE.”
The package includes one night at Paradise Hotel Busan plus access to a premium lounge with prime views of the Asiad Country Club course. Guests who opt for the “GROUND PASS STAY” upgrade receive a pass that lets them move freely along the course to catch players’ shots and soak up the action from close range.

Lotte Hotels & Resorts will showcase Korean cuisine at the Seoul Food Festival, a nationwide event running across 15 venues from the 21st to the 30th.
The festival brings together 29 chefs, and Lotte Hotels & Resorts will present menus that reinterpret seasonal Korean ingredients and traditions in a contemporary way at flagship events hosted by Lotte Hotel Seoul and Signiel Busan.
The festival’s grand finale, “The Grand Gala Dinner,” is set for the 29th in the Crystal Ballroom at Lotte Hotel Seoul. Top chefs—from masters of French fine dining to experts in temple cuisine—will converge to present signature plates. For the gala, Kim Song-gi, head of Culinary R&D at Lotte Hotels & Resorts, has prepared a crispy blue crab dish dressed with a mulberry-gochujang glaze.
Built around the concept “Early Summer’s Red Thrill,” the menu spotlights female blue crabs at their plumpest in May, balancing the crab’s natural umami with the sweet notes of mulberry and the spicy bite of gochujang.
On the 22nd, Signiel Busan will host “Flavor of Busan,” a tasting focused on local ingredients and the distinctive styles of participating chefs. The event will feature Signiel Busan’s executive banquet chef Shim Seung-wook; Kim Wan-gyu of Michelin one-star Mori in Busan; and Jo Eun-ju, formerly of 63 Square’s “Touch the Sky,” who will present a five-course menu together.
