[iNews24 reporter Kim Yang-geun] The 2026 Namwon City Agricultural Specialty Products Festival — staged around Wolgung Square from April 30 to May 6 as part of the 96th Chunhyang Festival — ended on a high note.
The festival set out to spotlight the best local produce and give farmers and shoppers a chance to connect one-on-one.

Organizers turned it into an interactive celebration that went beyond mere sales — blending hands-on experiences with live performances — and it drew enthusiastic crowds.
At booths and container stalls on site, local farmers and businesses offered high-quality fresh and processed goods they produced themselves, often at prices below typical retail.
The festival also featured youth performances, a talent showcase spotlighting women farmers, and a variety of other events, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all ages.
Strong attendance from residents and tourists boosted sales of local specialties, helping raise farm incomes and energize the local economy.
A Namwon city official said, “This festival put local agriculture’s strengths on display and created meaningful dialogue between producers and consumers. We’re grateful to the residents, tourists and farmers who joined us, and we’ll keep working to open up more market opportunities for our local produce.”
