Simmons is teaming up with local farms to host a direct-trade Farmers Market, pairing fresh produce with cultural programming like live performances and speaker sessions.
The market runs from the 14th through the 17th at Simmons Terrace in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. Hours are 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily.
Ten local vendors — including Ogeon Farm, Icheon Sal Gangjeong, Beoseot-en, and Hayoung Farm — plus the curated shop Public Market will take part. Look for regional specialties such as tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms and Icheon rice, along with wine and other packaged goods.
Simmons will handle event logistics, from booth setup and fixture production to promotion.
Over the years, the Farmers Market has helped local producers expand their sales channels. This year’s edition continues that mission by blending farm-fresh shopping with cultural events.
Live music will headline evenings: Diade performs on the 14th, Yoo Seung-eun on the 15th, and 10cm on the 16th. All shows begin at 5:00 PM.
There will also be talks. On the 16th, author Kim Gyeoul and Yoon Jin, CEO of wellness magazine Achim, will speak. The 17th features Chef Jo Seohyung and singer Yozoh, and ambient—synthesizer-based electronic—performances will take place over the weekend.
Visitors can join interactive activities, too. A produce-weight guessing game will award prizes, and guests who follow Simmons’ official Instagram can pick up goodies like reusable shopping bags and access to an Icheon tour-guide app.
A Simmons spokesperson said the Farmers Market began as part of the company’s ESG (environmental, social and governance) initiatives and has grown into a community-centered festival leading regional cultural content.
Since opening in 2018, Simmons Terrace has welcomed more than 1.7 million visitors. Each spring it hosts the Farmers Market and in winter runs Christmas events, both of which boost local sales.
