Ten local farms will take part…Simmons will support booth setup, displays and promotion
Live performances, wellness talks and visitor experiences also planned
[Herald Economy = Reporter Hong Seok-hee] Simmons announced on the 7th that it will host the 2026 Farmers Market, a four-day direct-sales event for farm products and local specialties, at Simmons Terrace in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, from the 14th through the 17th.
The market runs daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Launched in 2018, the Simmons Farmers Market is a community-focused event that connects local growers with visitors. This year marks its ninth edition.
Ten Icheon-area farms are taking part. Vendors include Ogeon Farm (tomatoes); Icheon Ssalgangjeong (rice taffy and puffed rice snacks); Beoseot-en (shiitake mushrooms); Hayoung Farm (sweet potatoes and rice syrup); Rauddalgi (strawberries); SJ Farm (salad greens); Icheon Migam (Icheon rice); Yeoreumae Farm (peach juice and jam); Heungmanso (rice cream bread); and Roastery Meul (sesame and perilla oils). Inside Simmons Terrace, the Public Market grocery edit shop will also feature small-pack produce and a selection of wines.
To support sellers, Simmons is covering operational needs such as fixtures, booth installation, product displays and promotional activities. The company said the Farmers Market has helped local farms expand sales channels and contributed to the regional economy.
Beyond shopping, the program offers live music and talks. The Ade performs on the 14th, Yoo Seung-eun on the 15th, and 10cm takes the stage at 5 p.m. on the 16th.
Wellness talks are part of the lineup as well. On the 16th, book YouTuber and author Kim Gyeoul and Yoon Jin, CEO of the wellness magazine A-chim, will give talks. On the 17th, Chef Jo Seo-hyung—known for his business-savvy approach to running restaurants—and singer-author Yozoh will speak. Over the weekend, an ambient set curated by the Sealing Service team will add to the atmosphere.
Simmons will give the first 300 visitors each day who follow its official Instagram a Farmers Market tote bag and an Icheon tour guide map. At the Simmons grocery store, four new drinks will be available alongside patbingsu (red-bean shaved ice): a strawberry frappe, a buttercream latte, iced chocolate and a cheese milkshake.
A Simmons spokesperson said, \”The Farmers Market began as part of our ESG efforts when Simmons Terrace opened. With visitor numbers rising every year, it has grown into a regional festival that leads community-driven cultural programming.\”
Since opening in 2018, Simmons Terrace has welcomed more than 1.7 million visitors. Instagram hashtags related to the venue have surpassed 125,000, solidifying its role as a major mixed-use cultural destination in Icheon.
