Incheon laced up for a marathon organized to raise support for children in need.
Yonhap News reported on May 2 that roughly 1,500 people took part in the 2026 Save the Children International Children’s Marathon. Organizers held the event that day at the Asiad Main Stadium in Seo-gu, Incheon.
Participants ran an approximately 4-kilometer (about 2.5-mile) course and stopped at interactive stations along the route. The venue also featured a variety of hands-on booths and activities.
The event was designed to help children from migrant backgrounds and other vulnerable groups. Funds raised through the race will be used for related support programs.
The marathon will continue as a series in cities across the country, with additional stops planned beyond Incheon.
