On April 29, Live Today ran segments titled ‘Today ISSUE,’ ‘Reasoned Taste,’ ‘Trend TMI: What Are People Doing These Days?,’ ‘Masterstroke,’ and ‘Where’s Uncle Going?’

In the ‘Reasoned Taste — The Harmony of Fragrant Herbs: Grilled Lamb Chops’ segment, the show introduced Amin Ihwa, a restaurant in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. The spot serves a range of Western-style dishes and highlights a lamb chop plate inspired by Morocco’s traditional soup, harira, elevated with Mediterranean herbs. The result is a dish that balances bright herbal notes with a silky, tender bite.

Lamb chops can be polarizing because of their distinct flavor, but technique and spice pairings can completely change the impression. Using herbs like rosemary and thyme is a common way to bring out lamb’s character while softening any strong gamey notes.

Lamb is a good source of protein, iron and zinc, and its flavor shifts dramatically depending on the cut and cooking method. Doneness, herb choices and sauces all shape the final impression, so the chef’s intent matters a lot with this dish.

The restaurant also offers Southern Italian-style mussel pasta alla cozze and a cod fillet bacalhau with mixed vegetables and tomato sauce. These dishes reflect Mediterranean influences and give diners plenty of choices beyond the lamb chops.

Visitors have been leaving enthusiastic reviews. On Naver, customers wrote things like, \”The exotic atmosphere and flavors felt so fresh — I haven’t experienced anything like it elsewhere.\” \”The lamb chops were tender with no gamey smell, and the sauce matched perfectly.\” \”Every dish felt exotic and delicious — it felt like I was on a trip.\” \”The Moroccan-style spices on the lamb came through without overwhelming me and felt refreshingly different.\” \”The Spanish-style honey cod bacalhau paired sweet-and-salty sauce with the fish really well.\” \”The ingredients were fresh and bright; it looked beautiful and tasted great — excellent.\”

Amin Ihwa is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
