Global burger franchise Burger King made a heartfelt promise to give a terminally ill dog free cheeseburgers for life — a gesture that’s captured hearts around the world.
Cody, a 10-year-old dog from Ohio, was recently handed a devastating diagnosis: vets say he likely only has a few months left.
To help him fight the cancer, Cody has been on strong daily medication. Because he refused to take the pills, his family began hiding them inside his favorite Burger King cheeseburgers so he would eat them.

A compassionate Burger King employee noticed the family coming in every day for cheeseburgers. When they gently asked why, they learned about Cody’s battle with cancer.
After the staff told the manager, he didn’t hesitate. The store announced it would provide Cody with as many cheeseburgers as he wanted, free of charge, for the rest of his life.

In an official statement, Burger King said, “Our society needs more kindness and empathy. We’re grateful for the opportunity to help Cody,” showing a real example of corporate social responsibility.
