Anyang has rolled out a feel-good campaign to help residents build healthy exercise habits and make movement more enjoyable.
On April 23, the city announced it will launch a month-long running campaign next month called the \”2026 RunWith Anyang Slow Running Challenge.\” Sign-ups will be open for one week, from the 24th through the 30th.
Billed under the slogan \”Slow down and recharge your health!,\” the event purposely steers clear of time trials and competitive racing.
It’s centered on \”slow running\” — jogging at a comfortable pace that matches each person’s fitness level — so anyone can join without pressure.
The challenge is open to anyone active in the area, including Anyang residents and local workers.
Using the challenge app \”Everyone’s Runner,\” participants can run anytime, anywhere and log their records online — no in-person check-ins required.
To keep motivation high, the city will post weekly health tips and educational content on the \”RunWith Anyang\” KakaoTalk channel and on Instagram.
They’ll also enter participants who meet their goals into a lottery to win small rewards, like mobile gift cards, to encourage continued participation.
\”I hope this challenge helps people shed speed anxiety and fall in love with running again,\” said Han Young-ja, director of the Manan District Public Health Center. \”We’ll keep creating practical, personalized health programs so Anyang becomes an even healthier, happier city.\”
Sign-ups are accepted through the \”RunWith Anyang\” KakaoTalk channel until the 30th.
